Episcopal Church Women (ECW)

The Episcopal Church Women have been serving St. Stephen’s since 1842.  The ladies of St. Stephen’s have been instrumental in keeping St. Stephen’s going.  The first recorded instance was about 1865 (after the church had been burned during the Civil War).  The ladies paid the pastor’s salary and assisted in holding services in nearby homes and at a local schoolhouse.

Still to this day the ladies continue to support St. Stephen’s.  Just a few of the contributions over the years are: Two BBQ cookers, Dining room tables, Small tables and chairs for Sunday School rooms, Mulch for playground, Donations toward Memorial Garden, Support web services for church, The Forward Day by Day booklets.

Donations are made to community organizations such as Fauquier Free Clinic, Habitat for Humanity, Fauquier Family Shelter, and others.

ECW events are included on the website calendar.
